FINALLY!

I'm done with finals and it feels so good to say that!

Ah! Sweet freedom for just a few days till May-mester starts. More school for me.

But I am really excited for it. I got the May musical with my best friends Jessie and now TREVOR! He's gonna be in it now :) and I'm freakin' excited! Summer nights with them and my other friends. Dance parties ALL the time!
OH! I got a job! At McDonald's. Hahaha! I thought I would never work there, but I swallowed my pride and applied. So I'll finally be a workin' girl again! ..yay..

ANYWAY!

Summer is HERE! YESSS!!!!! :D

I just had an epic paint war a couple days ago. I totally recommend them.

Life doesn't get easier, you just get stronger.

Life doesn't get easier, you just get stronger.

I really like this saying. It's definitely what I have learned this semester. Life is tough but it is building me up for when I need strength the most. Heavenly Father would never give us anything we couldn't handle. Everything happens for a reason and we are to learn and grow from our experiences.

It's what makes being human so special.

Feeling Lost...

I miss my mom.

A lot...

When I miss her I start watching clips from old musical movies.

Nothin' like Gene Kelly to make me feel better and at home :)

Love it.

Happy Easter!

I have had a wonderful Easter today :) I couldn't ask for a better day.

Today I had church and then afterwards Yiselle and I decided to have a little photo shoot behind our house. We had our Easter dresses on so we couldn't resist.

Here's a few photos :)

There's a bunch more on my Facebook!

After that Yiselle left for the DC Temple. The SVU Orchestra and the Chamber Choir went up to perform movements from The Redeemer. So after she left I just chilled all day and worked on some posters for my Clown Final.

“Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.”

“A friend is a hand that is always holding yours, no matter how close or far apart you may be. A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care. A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.”

I've gone through many friends and people in my life, but there are a few that mean the world to me. I feel that it is time that I write about them in my blog.

I have many people that I talk to and trust. I call them my friends. BUt there are a few that I would truly give my life for. They are the bestest of the bestest of friends to me. I like to think of them as the sisters Heavenly Father forgot to give me. But I am lucky to have finally found them.

I love my friends, they truly are amazing to me. They inspire me like no other. I am so grateful to have friends like the ones I have at SVU while I am by practically by myself at college and while I am separated from the one person that is from the place where I grew up.

(Sariah Rodriguez and I at Disney World. She came
last minute with me so I wouldn't die
while driving there and to have some
one to hang out with. She's the best. I love this crazy vegetarian.)

(Jessie Freakin' Carter. I love her so much!
She inspires me a lot. She's a beast at the piano too!
The May Musical is definitely our thing. It's how we met.
We pretended to beat up a fake baby. )

(And here is my Cuban Goddess friend, Yiselle Wilson.
She's my roommate and my best friend. She's
the first friend I made here at SVU, and we've
been through a lot together. She's a big inspiration
to me also. I'd take a bullet for her, or bury a dead body
for her. Love her.)

(Oh yeah, that's my Little One, Jenny Kinzey.
Been best friends since our senior year of high school.
She's amazingand crazy smart. I really wish I
was as bright or as clever as she is. But I will forever
be her Miguel, and she my Tulio.
I love her like a sister.)

I thank Heavenly Father everyday for these people he has brought into my life.

I am truly blessed.

A life without love is like a year without summer. ~Swedish Proverb

"A life without love is like a year without summer."

I really like that saying. Mostly because it mentions summer and I am so excited for summer to come!

It has been about 70 degrees here in BV lately and it feels AMAZING! I love warm weather. I love summer. It may have something to do with my birthday being in July, but it doesn't matter, summertime is the best part of my year.

Last summer I spent the month of May here at SVU to do the May Musical. (Annie Get Your Gun) and then spent the rest in Hawaii where my parents live.

May last year is where I met 2 of my 3 best friends here at SVU. Jessie Carter and Sariah Rodriguez :)

But after May when I went to my parents place, I spent ALL summer with my Little One. My Little One is my BFF, long lost sister, THE person that knows everything about me, Jenny Kinzey.

This summer, however, I don't get to spend it with her :(

I will be at school. All. Summer. Long.

OH! I know I sound crazy but I gotta do what I gotta do! Plus I'll be living off-campus which will be nice, and I'm gonna spend my whole summer with Jessie, Sariah, and my boyfriend, Trevor. And we will be making PLENTY trips to visit Yiselle. (Taylor Swift Concert, and HARRY POTTER 7 PART 2!!)

I can't wait to have a CubaCadian Summer :)

...A night to remember... FO REALZ!

So last night was SVU Dance Company's Spring Performance. And let's just say it got a little crazy, but it was still AMAZING! My solo was alright. My trio with my friends Laura and Kelly went pretty well (minus the couch falling apart haha) I did this other trio with Aleah (captain) and Nikelle (future captain) to the song This Bitter Earth by Dinah Washington. It was Aleah's senior piece and it was inspired by the So You Think You Can Dance dance choreographed by Mia Michaels where there are three guys on stage and one is a boy, one is a man, and the last is an old man. So Aleah's dance was a lot like that, but more about her and the stage that she's at in her life. Nikelle was a little girl, Aleah was herself pretty much and I played the old woman. So the dance is pretty much Aleah scared of growing old and wanting to be young again and carefree. It was really fun to do. When we performed it last night, I really felt the emotions that Aleah wanted me to feel. It was pretty overwhelming but way worth it.

Our Raise Your Glass dance was really fun! And My Chick Bad went well too. Come thou Fount was WONDERFUL! I'm amazed we pulled it off. I couldn't ask for a better group of girls. They really put their hearts in the dance.

I will admit I cried at the end... I felt like a pansy. Oh well, After everything that went on during the performance I just couldn't help it. I'm so grateful that all my closest friends could come watch me and I'm especially grateful that my sister-in-law Juli and my nieces could come :) I love my friends and family so much. They are so supportive of me and are always there for me.

My crazy awesome trio for Set Fire to the Rain. I love these girls :)

Miss Aleah :) She has no idea how much she inspires me

"All the world loves a clown." -Cole Porter

So I'm taking this class here at SVU and it's called Principles of Comedic Theatre...

...aka Clown Class.

I know, I know, Clown class? Really? They teach you how to be a clown in college???

Hey, it's cool. I thought the same thing. But it turned out to be really fun.

Here is my best friend Jessie and I as our clowns. My clown is a real tough girl, who doesn't care about anyone or doing anything. And Jessie's is, well, dumb.

Here are some other clowns in my class. (Oh yeah, we got all types.)

Before the class I was never into clowns. Didn't like them much. I watched Stephen King's IT as a kid. Definitely give me nightmares.

But seriously, clowns are actually cool! And it's really fun to be one too. It's like the ultimate reason just to do anything you want, act anyway you want and you just get to be silly. It's seriously a good way to just let go, and be a little crazy.

All clowns wanna do (except the freaks and the creepy ones) is to make you laugh. Or to connect with you or something.

But mostly laugh. :)
